The Extremely Compact Way of High-End Power Generation

At Hatz, our goal has always been to develop reliable power solutions that enable greater operational capability, efficiency, and independence. The flywheel-integrated Permanent Magnet Generator (fiPMG) is a prime example of this approach. Whether integrated into hybrid architectures, used as a backup power source, or deployed for continuous energy generation, the fiPMG delivers efficient, robust, and dependable electrical power. Compact, highly integrated, and engineered for demanding applications, it enhances operational resilience while supporting modern energy and power management concepts.

High Performance With No Compromise

The flywheel-integrated permanent magnet generator (fiPMG) is suitable for use in hybrid systems, as an emergency generator or for continuous power supply. As a very compact and lightweight solution, the Hatz fiPMG with the single-cylinder engines 1B30E and 1B50E integrates user-friendly into machine design.

The fiPMG is available with 230 V AC and 28 V or 56 V DC power outputs for auxiliary and mission-critical systems.

Size Matters. And Efficiency.

Compared to conventional engine-generator units, the Hatz fiPMG design is significantly more compact: 90% shorter and 85% lighter. The contactless PMG system achieves an efficiency of over 85%, delivering highly efficient and reliable power generation in a space-saving package.

In addition, the main power take-off shaft remains fully available for the integration of auxiliary drives, such as hydraulic pumps or other power take-off applications.

Plug & Play Charging for Li-Ion Batteries

The Hatz Battery Charger can be operated with fiPMG engines featuring CAN J1939 communication that enables direct communication with battery management systems (BMS), allowing modern Li-Ion batteries to be charged safely and efficiently in a true plug-and-play solution. Selected versions are also available as complete power solutions.
